I have been riding for over 20 years, working professionally for over 10. I always adjust my training style to cater to the needs of the horse and/or rider, and believe in emphasizing a strong foundation that will set the team for success in any direction they choose to follow. I am passionate about both training and teaching. My clientele has taken green (and finished) horses to competing up to the .85 m, as well as success in the western pleasure, horsemanship, showmanship, trail, hunter under saddle, equitation on the flat/over fences and show jumping. My riding career began at the age of 8, competing at open and AQHA shows before following my heart to the jumping world, where I competed up to 1.15 m. My first professional experiences were spent traveling to my clientele while simultaneously working as a stall cleaner/barn hand. My employment experience boasts apprenticing for a Grand Prix jumping trainer, assistant training for a Grand Prix dressage trainer, working for one of the founding fathers of the NHRA, and training under an "all-around" trainer decorated with multiple AQHA/APHA World Champion/finalist titles. From there, I moved to New Jersey, where I managed and taught at the third largest riding school in the state and helped qualify IEA students for zones and regionals. My love for Colorado brought me back, and I now split my time assistant training in Arvada and Berthoud while also developing some clientele of my own. To continue refining my skills, I ride weekly with a gold medalist dressage trainer.
